How to get rid of house mold?
Dr. Bond

Defined Tag:

Honestly, it is nearly impossible to kill of all house mold and mold spores. Sometimes house mold spores will be floating through the everywhere in the air that makes it so annoying. However, we should notice that mold spores cannot grow if there is no moisture. That's why having a good air dehumidifier can help prevent and control indoor house mold.

Here, we will share with you my own experience on house mold and show you articles that teaches you how you can combat it (more than just buying a good air dehumidifier). Whenever you find house mold is growing in your home, first thing to keep in mind is to clean it up  and to fix the water problem. House mold will definitely come back if you can't fix the water problem, so don't think it is enough to just clear the house mold.

Three tricks besides dehumidifier:

I have a friend who has mold growing in his closet and almost everwhere in his house, having a good dehumidifier might be a good solution. However, there also are easy ways to get rid of the house mold that are getting used to your spray.

Here they are: tea tree oil, vinegar and grapefruit see extract.

Depending on what you are looking for, vinegar is obviously the cheapest way to combay house mold, but it may not be able to get rid of the whole mold family. Tea tree oil is good at killing the entire house mold family, but it has a strong smell. You have to compare the pros and cons to decide which method is the best for you.

1) Tea Tree Treasure

This is by far the best spray to combat house mold. You can use it anywhere from moldy shower curtain to musty bureau. It may be a little bit expensive to use tree oil (Of course it is far cheaper than buying a dehumidifier), but you just need a little and it can last for a long time. Notice that tea tree oil is very smelly, and it may take up to 2-3 days to dissipate.

You will need 2 teaspoons tea tree oil + 2 cups water for this special spray. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake it well, then spray on the problem area with house mold.

2) Vinegar

Vinegar can kill upto 80 percent of house mold. What you need is simply some white distilled vinegar and a spray bottle. Make sure you don't rinse the floor. Smell should dissipate in a couple of hours.

3) Grapefruit Seed Extract

The great advantage of this trick is that it is odorless. I would say this is a good method to combat house mold. What you need is approximately 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract and 2 cups water.

Spray the mixture on area with house mold. Make sure you don't rinse it.
